Jack in the Doc's (office)

Today's big event was a trip to the doctor's office for both Sarah and Jack. Sarah immensely enjoyed the playhouse in the waiting room and was brave during her flu shot. Jack, on the other hand, was mad at being undressed so unceremoniously. He is back at his birthweight and checking out fine on all the other dimensions.

The highlight (video) of the afternoon was the arrival of a bouquet of balloons for my birthday sent by Melody. While I am all for balloons what made this so fun was how excited Sarah became when she saw them. She could not contain herself and screaming with delight, dragging the balloons around, and dancing through them.

The lowlight of the afternoon was wading through travel plans for the holidays. Fortunately we were blessed when the plan came together with the help of Cinda's creativity and a helpful soul at the United desk. We look forward to spending time with both of our families over the Christamas season.

Phyllis brought us a delicious meal for dinner and we celebrated the beginning of my 38th year with cake and ice cream. After dinner entertainment was provided by Sarah as she tried to tromp around in my sneakers.
