Zionsville Wildlife

Upon returning from our trip to the zoo, we spotted a pileated woodpecker in the tree next to our garage. Its call was a bit startling and the bird seemed more annoyed that we had showed up. It just continued pecking for a while.
Other wildlife challenges at our house involve the birdfeeder and the squirrels. I had specifically purchased the particular feeder model because I thought that it would present some real challenges to squirrels--I was mistaken. The little villians hang upside down from the suspending arm and eat the bird seed at will. We will see if these capers are benign or destructive.
